Sterling Anointing Spoon Pendant

$30

This cool pendant is made from the bowl of a vintage sterling silver replica ‘anointing’ spoon from England.

Description

This cool pendant is made from the bowl of a vintage sterling silver replica ‘anointing’ spoon from England. The spoon is a replica of the anointing spoon that is used to anoint the Monarch’s head during the Coronation ceremony. This particular spoon was made for George VI in 1936. It would have been a souvenir of the coronation. Cool, huh?

To make the pendant, I cut the handle off the spoon, and then I carefully smooth the edges and punch a hole to accommodate a sterling jump ring. Since this is a real, vintage item, there may be a few minor scratches and scuffs. Consider it part of its vintage charm!

A 20″ black silk cord necklace is included. If you would like a different color or style of necklace – see the last photo for available colors and styles – please put the color you want in the “Message to Seller” section. I have a limited selection of longer lengths available, please convo me if you need something longer!
