Description
This cute pendant used to be a Norwegian demitasse spoon! It is made from sterling silver, and features transparent purple glass enamel over a shell pattern on the back of the bowl. The type of enameling is called Guilloche (Ghee-oh-SHAY), where artists engrave a precise pattern into the metal before applying the enamel.
To make the pendant, I cut the bowl and handle off the spoon, grind and polish the cut edge smooth and then carefully bend the shank to create a bail. Since this is a real vintage item, there may be a few minor scratches and scuffs, or some minor chipping and crazing of the enamel. Consider it part of its vintage charm!
A 17″-18″ ribbon/cord necklace is included. If you would like a different color or style of necklace – see the last photo for available colors and styles – please put the color you want in the “Message to Seller” section. I have a limited selection of longer lengths available, please convo me if you need something longer!
