Description

A spoonful of springtime! This adorable pendant used to be a collector spoon! It is silver plated brass, and features Limoges-style hand painted enamel daffodils in the bowl.

These spoons were first made in the 1950s by Breck’s in Holland, and were usually either part of a set that people would collect, or purchase as souveniers. All the painting you see is original to the spoon.

To make the pendant, I cut the bowl and handle off the spoon, grind and polish the cut edge smooth and then carefully bend the shank to make a bail. Since this is a real, vintage item, there may be areas where the plating is worn, a few minor scratches and scuffs, or some minor chipping and crazing of the enamel. Consider it part of its vintage charm!

A 17″-18″ ribbon/cord necklace is included. If you would like a different color or style of necklace – see the last photo for available colors and styles – please put the color you want in the “Message to Seller” section. I have a limited selection of longer lengths available, please convo me if you need something longer!
