Description
This lovely green and white “Broken China” pendant is made from vintage china that is hand-cut, then shaped and bezel-set into sterling silver. The china pattern in this piece is “Pastoral” by Homer Laughlin and features a country barn in green and white. So cute and wonderfully “Shabby Chic”!
Fun fact about this china pattern: It was made as a breakfast set for Quaker Oats – pieces were literally included in the boxes of oats, much like toys in cereal boxes!
To make the pendant, I mark the shape on the china, nip it to a rough shape, and I grind the edges smooth with lapidary equipment. I then make a custom sterling setting for the piece. The back is stamped “.925” and “Kimagine”. Since this is made from a real, vintage item, there may be areas where the china has a few scratches and scuffs, or some minor chipping. Consider it part of its vintage charm!
A 17″-18″ ribbon/cord necklace is included. If you would like a different color/style of necklace – see the last photo for available colors and styles – please put the color you want in the “Message to Seller” section. I have a limited selection of longer lengths available, please convo me if you need something longer!
