Description
A spoonful of gems! This elegant pendant is made from a vintage silverplate teaspoon, and features a cluster of tumbled garnet gemstone chips in the bowl. The garnets are a luscious raspberry pink.
Pink and Raspberry Garnet is usually Rhodolite garnet (meaning “Rose Stone” in Greek), and has pink/purple undertones to the dominant red color.
To make this pendant, I cut the handle off the spoon, and then I carefully grind and polish the cut edge smooth. I punch a hole to accommodate a sterling jump ring, and add the cluster of gemstone chips. Since this is a real, vintage item, there may be areas where the plating is worn, and there may be a few minor scratches and scuffs. Consider it part of its vintage charm!
Metaphysically, Garnet is considered a “stone of health,” and helps remove negative energy. It is January’s birthstone.
A 17″-18″ ribbon/cord necklace is included. If you would like a different color or style of necklace – see the last photo for available colors and styles – please put the color you want in the “Message to Seller” section. I have a limited selection of longer lengths available, please convo me if you need something longer!
